The Breen School of Nursing announces an opening for a full-time, 12 month staff position within the School. The Coordinator position involves marketing, recruiting, and advising students regarding admissions, enrollment, progression, and graduation of undergraduate BSN students in the traditional, accelerated, and RN-to-BSN programs. The Coordinator position also procures all clinical sites and coordinates the BSN students’ clinical assignments. In addition, recruits and orients new adjunct faculty to the School, including clinical agency requirements. Position is available immediately and reports to the Associate Dean of the Undergraduate BSN Program.

Recruiting responsibilities include participating in educational fairs sponsored by hospitals, meeting with students and guidance counselors in junior and senior high schools, and conducting visits to community colleges to recruit transfer students.

Serves as liaison between the Nursing School and Admissions Office. Also responsible for clinical placements and student on-boarding for clinical placements. Oversees the annual NEONI AceMapp audit and rollover process. Advises and registers all new BSN students; participates in Academic Orientation Program. Supervises the duties of one employee.

Bachelor’s degree in a supportive discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience, plus the ability to work in an inclusive environment. Must be detail oriented and highly organized. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, higher education experience and experience in the nursing field.

Ursuline College seeks bright and energetic individual to join the Office of Undergraduate Admission. The Admission staff contributes greatly to maintaining and enhancing Ursuline’s reputation. Admission Counselors play a vital role in continuing the efforts to present Ursuline College to prospective students and develop programs to assist with their needs. This is a full-time position reporting to the Associate Director of Admission.

Responsible for managing and traveling within a domestic recruitment territory and developing strategies for improving market share for first-year students. Recruitment activities include high school visits, meetings with school counselors, college fairs, networking with alumnae, and planning or participating in on/off campus events. Determine student interest from point of inquiry through the deposit stage utilizing telephone, electronic, and written communication, as well as available technology. Serve as academic liaison to select majors. Counsel prospective students and/or families in one-on-one meetings on campus. Review applications and make recommendations on admission.

Bachelor’s degree. Masters preferred. Previous experience in college admission/higher education or related setting. Preferred skills include: Motivated and Must be highly motivated and energetic, detail oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Demonstrated experience working in a multicultural environment.

The qualified candidate will possess a terminal degree in Middle Childhood or Elementary Education and an Ohio Middle Childhood (4-9) or Elementary (1-6, 1-8) license. A minimum of three years teaching experience teaching mathematics and science in grades 4 and 5 is required. Teaching experiences in higher education and teaching courses online are desirable, as well as working experience in an inclusive environment.

The candidate must possess at least an M.A. in English. Candidates must give evidence of successful teaching experience, particularly in the areas of literature and composition. In addition, candidates must possess the ability to work within a multicultural setting, and demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching in an academically challenging, collaborative, and values-based environment.
